Why choose ILS?

At Inspired Learning Solutions, we believe the Mental Capacity Act should be understood as something that supports people to have choice and control, not simply as a set of legal rules. This practical course helps staff understand the five core principles, recognise when someone may lack capacity and consider how they can support people to be involved in decisions about their own lives. The course is mapped to the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Care Act 2014, helping learners connect legislation with everyday care practice.

Can this course be tailored?

Yes. The course can be adapted to reflect your organisation, care setting and the people you support. Scenarios and activities can be based on situations your staff are likely to encounter, helping them explore capacity assessments, supporting decision-making, safeguarding and protecting people’s rights in a practical context. The course can also provide an opportunity for teams to reflect on previous practice and identify areas for improvement.
