Why choose ILS?

A stroke can affect every aspect of a person’s life – from movement and communication to eating, emotions and independence.

Our training helps staff understand the individual impact of stroke, rather than focusing solely on the medical condition. It gives learners practical knowledge to provide compassionate, person-centred support while encouraging recovery, independence and quality of life.

The course is mapped to the Care Act 2014 and relevant NICE guidance on stroke in adults and stroke rehabilitation.

Can this course be tailored?

Yes. We can tailor the course around your organisation, the people you support and the challenges your staff encounter in practice.

This can include relevant communication approaches, care plans, policies, procedures, practical scenarios and examples relating to the people your team supports. We are also able to offer the services of experts with lived experience of stroke. This enables learners to hear directly the day to day challenges faced.
